This algorithm can be used for zero latency realtime sound effect processing. The main library requires FFTW3 only. Blows every other free reverb plugin I've come across straight out of the water. Freeverb3 is a signal processing library. If you want to build audacious plugins, audacious, gtk and libsndfile are required.

The convolution reverb algorithm is highly optimized for x86 processors by using hand optimized codes of 3DNow! Links in Readme file are vsy. Sounds nice and airy, and even though its GUI is a little confusing to a layman, it's not that great a hurdle, since all the controls are already there; you just need to dig a little deeper to get the hand of it. Sampling Rate Converter A wrapper of libsamplerate. Once you get a feel for how to adjust it, you will have one of the best reverb plugins. Treeverb3 and confusing controls make it difficult to achieve intelligent settings. I haven't really played with them much but the ProG reverb alone is so good I wanted to post my thumbs up for it.
Too many of the presets are harsh. I believe to be the best Free reverb plugin available now.
